Product detailed description
Quiet red wine obtained from grapes grown and selected throughout Puglia. Its elegance and finesse allow it to be drunk young, but it is excellent for aging. This excellent red wine is a very recent expression of Puglia's winemaking potential. A modern, balanced and full wine. It is deep, dark purple in color with a bouquet of ripe fruit such as blackcurrant and blackberry, with hints of toasted oak. It is smooth on the palate, with a great concentration of excellent fruit, nicely balanced with fine, soft tannins. The structure and complexity in the mouth are excellent, tempered by excellent tannin extracts. This high-profile blend has obvious Mediterranean qualities and a sunny disposition. Its grace and finesse means it can be drunk young, but it also has remarkable aging potential. It is aged in medium-toasted French oak barrels for around eight months, when the wine reaches its maximum potential, and the blend is blended.
Modern, balanced and full-bodied wine. It has an intense dark purple color with a bouquet of ripe fruits such as blackcurrant and blackberry, notes of roasted almonds and gianduja. It is soft on the palate, with a large concentration of fresh fruit, well balanced with fine, soft tannins. On the palate, its structure and complexity are exceptional, tempered by excellent tannin extracts.
Why do we like it?
Particularly appreciated by lovers of bold, full-bodied red wines with fine tannins. We also recommend this wine drink only by the glass, not always with food.
Manufacturer
When they founded Cignomoro in 2008, they had clear ideas: to question the homologation of flavors and breathe life into Apulian wines that are unique, elegant and harmonious with every sip. This is also why are called "boutique winery": every single bottle is part of a limited production, almost pampered, personally cared for from the bunch to the sip to amaze the taste buds that are not satisfied. They decided believe in the region of Apulia and in the most authentic wine: so the most modern winemaking techniques adopt ancient practices that are almost rituals, such as manual grape harvesting. With honor, they feel like courageous guardians of an ancient land, without compromise. Cignomoro is a boutique winery in the heart of Puglia. The emphasis is on the care, the uniqueness of the artisanal procedures carried out with love and observed in every single process, from the vineyard to the glass. Salento and red wines: if vines were already grown in Salento in the Manduria countryside in the seventh to sixth centuries BC, there is a reason: the "mare nostrum" with its perfect microclimate caresses the grapes and turns them into a masterpiece. Therefore, it has the vines have their roots in the "red land" overlooking the Mediterranean Sea and produce red wines that are a synthesis of this perfect marriage. Try closing your eyes and tasting a glass of Primitiva, Negroamara or Susumaniella: close your eyes and you will feel the sun, the sea, the vast trees, the red and calcareous soil and the people who have been cultivating it expertly for millennia.
Apulia and its white wines, a story of wonder: The Itria Valley, the pearl of Apulia, is a place where you can embrace the sea with a single glance from the hill: a poetry that naturally permeates every glass of wine grown in this land
