Verdicchio is a variety grown in Marche, mainly in the Jesi area. From an oenological point of view, this is a complex variety. Excellent quality is served by in all typologies, i.e. sparkling and still wine, as well as dessert wine.
Everything starts with history, as early as the end of the 18th century Verdicchio was spoken of as an important white variety from the Marche region. The first mentions of this word date back to 1569. To the National Register variety is registered in 1970. Since 1991 it is considered Trebbiano di Soave or Trebbiano di Lugana, as confirmed by Caló, Costacurta, Canellier e Forti (source of Vitigni d´Italia).
