This made it the second wine in history with DOCG status. Gavi di Gavi is made in many styles. You can meet simple, fresh wines with strong primary aromatics, but also very complex and opulent Gavi, which has been aged for a long time in barriques. And of course with a whole range of wines between these two extremes. Typical Gavi di Gavi should be delicate white wines with fruity notes of apples and apricots in taste and aroma.
