Product detailed description
The area of Lugano is located in the southern part of Lago di Garda, intersected by the villages Desenzano, Sirmione, Lonato and the municipality of Peschiera, which are in the province of Verona. Winemakers from these zones produce excellent white LUGANA wines. The soil here is mainly clay, affected by humidity, the amount of water and the sun's rays. The ripening of grapes from these plots is very favorable due to the temperature ranges.
Straw yellow color with greenish reflections. On the nose, the wine expresses mainly fruity and floral notes, with strong hints of pear and peach and some rare spices such as saffron. On the palate, it expresses a richness of taste thanks to a pronounced sapidity and a good structure that goes well with the acid vein that characterizes this product, a harmonious and pleasant wine suitable for many combinations. The production starts with a gentle pressing of the grapes and then the obtained must is put into stainless steel tanks where it is fermented with selected yeasts at a controlled temperature. Lugana is left with its own yeast for about 4 months. Subsequently, it ages for one more year in the bottle.
Why does it taste good to me?
Those of you who are looking for notes of pears and peaches in wine will definitely like the white wine from the southern part of Lago di Garda, Lugana. A wine that will not tire you.
