Product detailed description
Malbec is a variety originally from Bordeaux, where it was neglected for a long time. The big dream of winegrowing with French original varieties, given mainly by the long stay of the owners in France.
The wine is fresh, intense, with strong and complex fruit notes, small dark berry fruit, plum, vegetal and slightly spicy notes of anise and carob. Ideal for pairing with appetizers, with semi-ripened cheeses, with grilled meat, with freshwater fish. The connection with ethnic dishes is also interesting.
The owners started the first production in 2011. The vines are grown using the Cordone Speronato system. Harvesting is done exclusively by hand. The subsequent maturation is mainly in a stainless steel tank and then in the bottle. Annual production is smaller, around 6,000 bottles.
Fattoria Sorgenti is the only Tuscan winery that focuses on Malbec and produces 100% Malbec wine.
