Detailed information

Product detailed description

Quiet red wine obtained from grapes grown in the countryside of Manduria, from vineyards about 80 years old. The scent is  wrapped in the sweet tone of ripe morello cherries. The taste is rich and very concentrated, enhanced by the constant presence of sweet tannins. The grapes are harvested by hand at the end of August - the first days of September, from vineyards cultivated with the Alberello Pugliese variety: small trees that belong to the Mediterranean culture. Production is about 800 gr per plant. Aging takes place in French oak barrels for about twelve months, after which it rests in the bottle for another 4 months.

Why do we like it?

All lovers of the Primitivo variety will appreciate the high quality of this wine from a very old vineyard.

Salento and red wines: if vines were already grown in Salento in the Manduria countryside in the seventh to sixth centuries BC, there is a reason: the "mare nostrum" with its perfect microclimate caresses the grapes and turns them into a masterpiece. Therefore, it has  the vines have their roots in the "red land" overlooking the Mediterranean Sea and produce red wines that are a synthesis of this perfect marriage. Try closing your eyes and tasting a glass of Primitiva, Negroamara or Susumaniella: by closing your eyes you will feel the sun, the sea, the vast trees, the red and calcareous soil and the people who have been expertly cultivating it for millennia.

Apulia and its white wines, a story of wonder: The Itria Valley, the pearl of Apulia, is a place where you can embrace the sea with a single glance from the hill: a poetry that naturally permeates every glass of wine grown in this land
