Product detailed description
The Torre dei Vescovi range is the result of a careful selection of the best grapes to satisfy the best and most demanding palates. These wines, which are the result of careful cellar work, offer a wide range of varieties that meet the different requirements of restaurants and wine shops. The name "Torre dei Vescovi" draws its inspiration from Rocca dei Vescovi in Brendola, one of the municipalities where our quality grapes are born, which gives our wines an authentic connection with tradition and territory. The Garganega variety is planted on the hills of the Soave province with volcanic subsoil. The wine is left to mature in stainless steel. The color of the wine is light golden straw yellow, the aroma is delicate with notes of white flowers and elderberry, the taste is dry, slightly bitter, medium-bodied and the right acidity.
Garganega variety
Garganega is an Italian white variety, widespread mainly in the Veneto region, in the northeastern part, the area around Verona and Venice. It is the 6th most widespread white variety in Italy. It forms the basis of all wines in the Soave region and the main part of the Gambellara region. DNA studies show that the variety Grecanico Dorato from Sicily is identical to Garganega.
Why do I like it?
A typical local variety from the Soave region, which is highly sought after by Italians precisely because of its authentic connection with the territory.
