Taste the grappa
One could say that tasting is part of a certain lifestyle. A tasting is a great way to discover new flavors that you might never pick up at a store. You can sample different types of wine, beer, cheese, or chocolate and find new favorites. During a tasting, you can also learn more about the history and production process of the product. Professional sommeliers or experts will explain how to taste properly and how to enjoy every detail. Tastings are often pleasant social events where you can meet people with similar interests and exchange opinions about what you're tasting. It's a fun way to spend your time, especially if you're passionate about food and drink. You can treat it as a small adventurous experience that takes you into a world of flavors, aromas, and textures. After a tasting, you’ll have a clearer idea of what you like and make better choices for your next purchase – whether it’s wine, beer, olive oil, or cheese.
There’s truly nothing better than attending a tasting hosted by a direct importer who is in close contact with producers. We don’t hold tastings with winemakers too often, but we try to have at least some of our suppliers visit us twice a year.
The best way to share valuable insights with you is to organize a tasting. At our tastings, we also prepare rich refreshments from our Italian suppliers, including a selection of cheeses, cured meats, bruschetta, grissini, olives, and tomatoes.
We very often combine WINE and PIANO. This creates a wonderfully pleasant evening spent with live music and a curated selection of Italian wines, cheeses, and cured meats.
A tasting can be experienced as:
- an introductory presentation of products
- an in-depth tasting where we sample several wines from one winemaker. We are often visited by winemakers from Fontanafredda, Tenute Falezza, Novaripa wineries
- a horizontal tasting, focused on one grape variety from different producers
- a regional tasting, where we explore wines from a specific region such as Tuscany, Piedmont, Apulia
- a grappa tasting – we explore young multi-varietal and single-varietal grappas, as well as barrel-aged and matured grappas, all with expert commentary
- PIANO LIVE – tastings accompanied by live piano music have become very popular
We organize tastings as:
-
Public – held in our new store La Grapperia, Táborská 378/44, Prague 4, or La Grapperia, Wuchterlova 14, Prague 6. The date of the tasting is usually announced 14 days in advance. A limited number of guests can purchase tickets for the event.
-
Private – a group of friends looking to enjoy good wine in a beautiful setting while learning more about wine, grappa, and praline making.
-
Corporate – surprise your employees with an interesting tasting. We especially recommend the "one grape variety, two products" format, which offers an unusual pairing of grappa and wine.
-
Welcome drink for congresses – if you're looking for the perfect welcome drink for your event, we offer many interesting options to pleasantly surprise your guests. We’ll be happy to recommend specialties ideal for such occasions.
