Vigna Altena is a micro vineyard designation, characterizing the strict conditions issued by Consorzio Prosecco Conegliano Valdobbiadene. The designation Vigna is characterized for a wider area with the term "Rive" Rive is traditionally a local term with which we identify vineyards with their steep and steep slopes, where vines and man often climb upwards, as if to support the hills themselves together. They are historically the most difficult to work with, where every stage of growing and harvesting is done entirely and exclusively by hand. Altena has been spread over 0.66 hectares since 1990. The age of the plants is about 25 years. The subsoil is of moraine origin with a thick clay layer. Altitude 318-325 m.a.s.l. Vineyard management system: sylvoz with 3400 plants per 1 ha, with a yield of 3.5 kg per plant. The yield is 79t/ha. The vineyard has been registered since 1990, number of bottles: 7425 bottles. The aroma is clean, pronounced after spring flowers, enriched with apple, pear, white peach. The taste is slim with limited residual sugar, expanded by a rich assortment of fruit, always with pleasant acidity. Vigna Altena is located in Lunga in the area of Valdobbiadene in the Ron locality. Vinification: Soft pressing of the grapes to extract the must, subsequent decantation and clarification, alcoholic fermentation at a temperature of 16-18°C for 15 days followed by aging on the lees for 4 months. This is followed by filtration. Second fermentation: from June 8, 2021, the second fermentation takes place in a small stainless steel autoclave only with the addition of cane sugar and selected yeast for 10 months at a temperature of 13°C. Tonnage at 0°C and bottling on 11/04/2022

Very interesting processing of Prosecco from a limited series of bottles. Prosecco is very dry, intended mainly for connoisseurs of sparkling dry wines.
